Dispatching orders
It is important that your orders are marked as 'Dispatched' in Breww when your stock/delivery vehicle leaves the premises. This ensures that your stock levels are reduced accurately and that duty has been appropriately accounted for.
There are two ways to mark your orders as dispatched: on the delivery page for a specific order or on the main deliveries page, where you can mark the entire day's deliveries as dispatched per delivery method and per delivery run.
Some Breww users choose to assign stock on arrival at the customer location rather than prior to leaving the brewery. This would mean the 'Dispatch' feature is not used as outlined below. Instead, stock is assigned at the customer location, and the order is marked as complete on the Breww App; this will also automatically mark the order as dispatched. It is important to ensure the deliveries are all marked as complete on the day when using this method, otherwise duty will not be incurred, and stock will not be reduced on the correct day.
When marking an order that does not have stock assigned as dispatched, Breww will attempt to auto-assign any required stock (if this setting is enabled). You can read more on this setting hereο»Ώ. If this setting isn't enabled, or if the required stock is packaged in 'tracked containers', then this would require you to assign the stock prior to dispatch.
There are two routes that you could take to dispatch a single order.
Go to Sales, find the order and select to view the delivery via the button highlighted in the screenshot below (the button icon will vary depending on the delivery method).
- Go to Deliveries and select the delivery day date. You will then be able to select the delivery method that the order is scheduled on and to view the delivery by selecting the button highlighted in the screenshot below (the button icon will vary depending on the delivery method).

When you are on the delivery page for the order, and provided that the order is confirmed, then you will be able to select the Mark as dispatched button, which will mean that the order is displayed as being 'Out for delivery'. Provided the customer does not have the Customer is registered to receive alcohol under duty suspense checkbox selected, or the order is not to an address outside of your country, then duty/excise tax will be incurred on any goods dispatched, provided that the goods sold were held in Breww duty suspended, and not already duty paid.

You will likely have more than one delivery that will need to be dispatched on a single day. If so, we recommend marking an entire delivery run as dispatched so that the entire stock contents going out on a delivery vehicle is accounted for in terms of duty and is given the status of 'Out for delivery'.
If you first head to Deliveries and select the delivery day date. Provided that the Deliveries (own vehicle) deliveries for the day have been optimised onto a delivery run, you will be able to select the delivery run, followed by the Mark run as dispatched (vehicle departed) button. Selecting this will mean that any required stock is auto-assigned (if enabled), and the assigned stock crosses the duty threshold; a duty entry will also be made. It is worth noting that the order must be 'Confirmed'.

On a delivery day, you will be able to select the Deliveries (Courier) tab to view your courier deliveries. From this page, you will be able to choose to either Mark as dispatched or Mark as dispatched & delivery complete, depending on how you would like to handle your courier deliveries. If you have selected a specific courier company for your courier deliveries, then you will also be able to choose to dispatch the deliveries for the specific courier company or all courier deliveries when selecting these buttons.

By selecting the delivery day, you will then be able to select the Collections tab to view any scheduled collections for the day. Collections are different from your other deliveries in that they don't have a status of 'Out for delivery', so do not get marked as dispatched. They are also handled individually at the point a customer comes to collect the order. You can head to the order collection page by selecting the highlighted button.

You will notice that this page is presented slightly differently, with a Mark as completeoption only.

We recommend letting Breww automate the invoicing of your orders at the point you mark an order as dispatched; this topic is discussed further hereο»Ώ.
