you can create, edit, and manage saved forecasts in breww to plan your future sales volumes these can then be used in the stock availability forecast report to project when products might run out and when production or packaging will be needed accessing saved forecasts you can access the saved forecasts section from two places from the stock availability forecast report by clicking saved forecasts in the top right corner from any product page by selecting actions & tools → sales forecasts both routes open the same view creating a new saved forecast click new forecast add a name and optional description (for example, “q1 2026 sales plan”) choose your forecast frequency monthly – 12 months ahead from the current month weekly – 52 weeks ahead from the current week breww will automatically generate your forecast grid adding historical data click add historical columns to include previous months or weeks alongside your forecast this helps you compare past sales trends with your new forecasts see seasonality and growth patterns more clearly build more realistic predictions based on recent data when historical sales exist in your breww account, they’ll appear automatically and can’t be edited if you’re new to breww or the product hasn’t been sold before, those columns will remain blank until you build a sales history tip adding historical columns is optional — they’re there for reference and don’t affect your forecast values entering or importing your forecast you can fill in your forecast directly in breww or use a spreadsheet enter data manually enter your expected sales volumes for each product and period directly in the grid import from a spreadsheet click export forecast to download your current grid as a csv edit the file in excel or google sheets save and re upload it using import forecast you can switch between editing in breww and spreadsheets — both formats use the same layout saving and using your forecast when finished, click save your forecast will appear in the saved forecasts list, ready to be selected in the stock availability forecast report in that report, choose use saved forecast as the method and select the forecast you created reviewing forecast accuracy once actual sales data is available, breww automatically calculates how accurate your saved forecasts were metrics include accuracy (%) – how close your forecast was overall bias – whether you tend to over or under forecast mean absolute error (mae) and rmse – average size of forecast error all metrics are volume weighted, so larger containers (like kegs) have a greater impact than smallpack items editing or deleting saved forecasts from the saved forecasts list, you can click a forecast name to edit it use the delete button to remove old or test forecasts you can keep multiple forecasts (for example, “baseline” and “optimistic”) and switch between them when running stock forecasts
